You know what makes grace amazing? The fact that I have nothing to do with it. The fact that I was dead spiritually, a spiritual stillborn, and that dead people don’t respond and revive themselves. The fact that I didn’t put myself in a position to receive it, and therefore having some sort of merit in my salvation. The fact that my salvation, including both grace and faith, truly is a gift of God. The fact that salvation is in no part my own doing, so that I can’t boast even slightly. My sinful state, which directs all glory to God in my salvation, is what makes grace truly amazing.
